What does a one-on-one personalized lesson look like?

That depends on each person! Maybe you want to improve on fielding, maybe you had a rough weekend at your tournament with connecting with the ball. Maybe you just want to get a head start on the next season by improving your quickness catching. Whatever your goals may be I am here to help.

Each of my students will have a folder that includes:

  1. A practice plan for that day. This may change from session to session and that’s ok! When you book your session YOU let me know what we are working on that day and I will plan the lesson accordingly.

  2. If it is our first time meeting or you are wanting to practice a new skill, there will be an assessment sheet in there. This simply gives me a starting place so I know where you need to improve and to help set future goals.

  3. A S.M.A.R.T.E.R goal sheet. (What is a S.M.A.R.T.E.R. goal?) This provides a tangible way for us to make and measure goals that you are working towards.

  4. A player development plan (PDP). This sheet is what we use to plan out how you are going to accomplish the goal(s) you have set. Maybe it’s some drills to do at home, an article or book to read, some extra stretching or mobility exercises, etc…

  5. A BLAST metric sheet for those that want to take advantage of that hitting program. This is not required to use for hitting. (I have an assessment for hitting as well if you decide not to use the program.) BLAST measures certain swing mechanics such as: contact, swing plane, attack angle, bat angle, power, rotational acceleration, etc… If you are interested in that program please let me know ahead of time in the comment section when booking a lesson that you want to utilize that so we can chat before your lesson.

  6. I will add other progress items as necessary. Re-assessments will be included in there also.

These folders provide a way for everyone to be on the same page and know what goals we are working on and how we are planning on reaching those goals.
